West Cape Howe 'Two Steps' 2006

75cl West Cape Howe Shiraz, Viognier Australia > Western Australia Rich, full-bodied, elegant and complex
Shiraz/Viognier is co-fermented to dryness with 7% Viognier in French barriques and has a fragrant berry/white pepper nose and a rich, luscious palate with spicy plum characters.

West Cape Howe is located in Denmark, on Western Australia’s southern coast. The winery was established in 1997 and is headed by Gavin Berry, formerly of Plantagenet Wines. Viticulturist Rob Quenby manages the vineyards at Mount Barker, which are some of the most mature in the zone, having been planted in 1989 and is responsible for bringing in quality, ripe fruit. The winery is one of Western Australia’s finest and has for many years received a five star rating in the right reverend James Halliday’s wine companion.
