Pinot Grigio 2014

75cl Elena Walch Pinot Grigio Italy > Alto Adige Fruit driven, smooth and dry
The Elena Walch Pinot Grigio is drier, richer and fuller bodied with a touch of spice on the nose. It has much more weight, ripeness and character than you would normally expect to find with this wine-style

In 1985, winemaking graduate and former architect, Elena Walch took over two magnificent and historic estates. Castel Ringberg, which overlooks the lake of Caldaro, and Kastelaz, a steep, south-facing hillside at Tramin. The wines are recognised throughout Italy and worldwide as being truly first-rate, having scooped many of Italy’s highest awards including the coveted Gambero Rosso three glasses for many years in a row. Tasting these wines with Elena and Werner Walch, we were astonished at the dazzling array of bottlings from various local and international varieties and crus and the overall marvellous quality of the entire range.
