Alvear is an historic sherry bodega founded by Don Diego de Alvear in 1729, the oldest winery in Andalusia. Still controlled by the Alvear family (8th generation), they produce what are widely considered some of the finest wines of DO Montilla-Morilles. The production focuses on the local Pedro Ximenez (or PX) varietal and the winery produce a wide range of Sweet, Fino, Oloroso and Amontillado styles.
