75cl Zardini Corvina/Rondinella/Molinara/Rossignola, Italy > Veneto Rich, full-bodied, elegant and complex
Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore “Austero” is a blend of hand harvested Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Rossignola grapes. It is full bodied and structured but has amazing balance and freshness. It is perfect with venison, pasta with meat sauce or hard cheese.

Pietro Zardini winery is located in San Pietro In Cariano in the province of Verona and its origins begin in 1800, when Leonardo Zardini was already producing Valpolicella’ s traditional wines. In fact, every year they produce about 20 thousand bottles of the classic wine of the territory which characterize the line of the winery: Amarone, Valpolicella Superiore, Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso, Recioto of Valpolicella, Lugana and Passito from Garganega and Chardonnay grapes.

“Chunky, rich and a huge mouthful. Would keep easily for anothercouple of years.” Ernie Whalley - The Sunday Times
“Bold, dark and juicy.  Oodles of ripe fruit and a stand-out crowd pleaser.” Caroline Byrne  - The Sunday Times

“Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso Austero is a full and generous wine with thick tones of dark fruit, black pepper, pressed rose, church incense and crushed black pepper. Most of its fruit shows up on in the finish in the form of dried cherry and blackberry.” Monica Larner -
